චිත්‍රපටය ගැන කියනවානම්, අනතුරකට ලක්වන ඉන්ඩියානා ජෝන්ස් ලෙස රඟපාන හැරිසන් ෆෝඩ් රැගත් ගුවන් යානය කඩා වැටෙන්නේ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට. අනතුරෙන් පසු ලංකාවේ එක් දුප්පත් ගම්මානයකට යන ඉන්ඩියානා ජෝන්ස් ට ව්‍යසනයකට පත්ව සිටින අසරණ ගම්මුන්ගේ ඉල්ලීමකට සවන් දෙන්නට සිදුවනවා. එය ඉටුකිරීමට යාමේදී හමුවන අමුත්තන් හා සිද්ධි විටෙක විනෝද ජනකයි, විටෙක පිළිකුල් සහගතයි, තවත් විටෙක ලොමු දැහැගන්වන සුළුයි. විශේෂයෙන් මෙහි ඇති භෝජන සංග්‍රහය ඔබට කිසි දිනෙක අමතක නොවනු ඇති.
සිංහල උප සිරැසි ලබා දීමේදී මා ටිකක් වෙනස් ක්‍රමයක් අනුගමනය කලා. ඉංග්‍රීසි උපසිරැසි ගොනුවේ පේළි ඉවත් කරනු වෙනුවට ඒවාත් තබාගෙනම එක් ගොනුවකුත් ඉංග්‍රීසි උප සිරැසි නැතිව තවත් එකකුත් නිර්මාණය කලා. ලද හැම අවස්ථාවකින්ම ඉංග්‍රීසි උගැන්මට ආශාවක් ඇති පාඨකයින් හට පලමු ගොනුව වඩාත් ප්‍රයෝජනවත් වේවි.
වෙනදා වගේම චිත්‍රපටය බැලීමෙන් පසු ඔබට සිතෙන දේ කමෙන්ටු බවට පෙරළන්න. විශේෂයෙන් ඉංග්‍රිසි – සිංහල උපසිරැසි ගැන ඔබේ අදහස් වගේම ගල් මුලුත් ඉතාම වටිනවා.

The filmmakers were denied permission to film in North India and Amer Fort due to the government finding the script racist and offensive.[6][11][13] The government demanded many script changes, rewritings and final cut privilege.[8] As a result, location work went to Kandy, Sri Lanka, with matte paintings and scale models applied for the village, temple, and Pankot Palace. Budgetary inflation also caused Temple of Doom to cost $28.17 million, $8 million more than Raiders of the Lost Ark.[13] Filming began on April 18, 1983 in Kandy,[14] and moved to Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire, England on May 5. Producer Frank Marshall recalled, “when filming the bug scenes, crew members would go home and find bugs in their hair, clothes and shoes.”[14] Eight out of the nine sound stages at Elstree housed the filming of Temple of Doom. Lucas biographer Marcus Hearn observed, “Douglas Slocombe’s skillful lighting helped disguise the fact that about 80 percent of the film was shot with sound stages.”[15]

ඇත්තටම ඒක මටත් හරි හැටි පැහැදිලි නෑ. එක් කොටසක ( 19:40 min) ඉන්ඩියානා කියනවා අපි ඉන්නෙ ඉන්දියාවෙ කියලා. ඒත් තවත් තැනක (23:35 min) ෂෝටි කියනවා “ඔබ ලංකාවෙන් යයි ” කියලා. මා සිතූ ආකාරයට චිත්‍රපටය අපට ඒත්තු ගන්වන්නට උත්සාහ කරන්නේ ලංකාව යනු ඉන්දියාවේ කොලනියක් ලෙසයි.
